***Contact a New Hope rescue to save ELMER FUDD tonight!*** Four year old Elmer Fudd, seven-year old Daffy, and nine-year old Speedy G were living in harmony with their owner, enjoying life and each other. Then tragedy struck—their owner died and no family or friends were able or willing to take them in. And so they all sit in cages at Manhattan ACC, grieving for their person, their home and each other. Now ACC has decided that Elmer Fudd has to go and theyve put this handsome, scared boy on tomorrow’s euthanasia list. Truth be told, though he was in decent health when he got there, Elmer Fudd was dirty, needed his nails cut and its likely he hadnt had too much grooming in those last days with his person. And Elmer Fudd is one scared little boy! Look at his behavioral eval—he was tough to get in and out of his cage and “mouthed” the assessor when they put him back in that cage. But what a great boy he is—earned 1’s and 2’s on all items on the eval. But because he mouthed that assessor he was given a New Hope Only rating. In a perfect world, Elmer Fudd, Daffy and Speedy G. would have gone on together to start their new life. But tonight, Elmer Fudd has to be the priority. He’s looking for that person out there who sees how scared he is, who sees how confused he is, and who sees that underneath all that fear is a great dog. If you’re that special person, start working with rescues to foster or adopt Elmer Fudd. But do it quick--at noon tomorrow, ACC won’t hesitate to make this boy gone forever.
