(2) (Continue from the last episode) In 2012, Buhari expressed misgivings about the success of the PDP led-administration and that any attempt to rig the 2015 elections may lead to bloodshed as people would resist any attempt of rigging. As simple and understandable his statement is, it was still met with opposition from the PDP and BUHARIPHOBIAS. One is therefore poised to ask; why will the ruling party criticize him for a statement which ordinarily is a wise counsel and ought to be reflected upon considering the weight the statement carries? Given the post-election violence that greeted the 2011 elections, it shouldn’t be too hard for the PDP and the Presidency to comprehend Buhari’s statement? Again we ask; is the PDP accepting rigging as a means of winning elections and are they prepared to use same to clinch onto power in 2015? If No, why the much hues and cries? The reaction of the people to the above at the instance of Buhari was unprecedented. Several media reports scolded those criticizing the former head of state in the presidency, the PDP, the Christian Awareness Initiative of Nigeria (a Northern Christian group) and others to such an extent that he (Buhari) won the heart of the many people. Notable persons who hitherto do not like him have expressed change of mind. From the six geopolitical zones in the country statements were released to the effect that the ruling party was told to take caution, stop flippancy and face the business of government.
