***Courtesy Post*** In need of a new home. A beautiful, sweet gray & white female husky with gorgeous light blue eyes and lots of energy. Approximately 1 1/2 years old & spayed & microchipped. Loves people including kids. Sometimes has issues with other dogs. First & foremost, she needs a large, safe & secure fenced-in yard as she needs to be off leash with lots of room to run and explore as she loves to be outside and does not go potty when out walking on leash. Is an indoor/outdoor dog, will sleep on floor or dog bed next to your bed at night. Needs an active family/individual, seems to do better with a male presence. She loves to go on runs/walks/hikes. Does not like confined spaces (crate, kennel, room, etc.) and is not crate-trained. Has some aggression issues at times & some separation anxiety. Sometimes will chew the wrong things. She loves to play and to play with her toys and play ball & is very entertaining. Was picked up as a skinny stray and brought to a shelter. Was briefly adopted by a family that dearly loved her & took her on daily runs but she developed serious issues with their 2 small dogs. Then was briefly adopted by an individual who had a large kennel but no fenced yard and she was not happy in that situation, was not a good match as daily walks are just not enough for her. Should either be the only dog in a household or possibly in a household with another dog that is close to her in age & size that is also high energy, like another husky, to be a playmate for her. No small dogs or small animals. She is a quick learner, loves treats, has a good appetite and needs to put on a little weight. Not known to jump fences but does try to escape when door/gate/car door is open, etc. Does okay on a leash and does okay in the car. Has the very vocal husky trait. Partially housebroken, when she needs to go out, she will whine and go stand by the door. She can be mischievous and will grab food off counter or table if youre not careful. If you decide to adopt this pretty girl please give her the loving and wonderful forever home she deserves to have and she will be a wonderful best friend and companion. She is a sweet girl but she does need alot of time, attention, socialization and serious training so you must be able to provide this. Shots are up to date as of December 2014 and January 23, 2015, including rabies. She has not yet had her rattlesnake vaccine. Contact Karen. 951-246-2251
