DAILY NOTICES – TUESDAY 22nd JULY – DAY 1 ALL: 1. ID CARDS: If you had an ID photo taken last term, please come and collect your ID card from the office at interval today. 2. TUMANAKO HOMEWORK CENTRE is on after school at Tuhonohono. Everyone is welcome and kai is provided. 3. WHANAU HUI on Thursday 24th July 5.30-7.30 at Tuhonohono. All welcome. The focus is on Careers. Please bring a plate of kai to share for supper. Any questions contact Matua Rihari or Ms Mac. 4. TE WIKI O TE REO MAORI: Get involved with learning Te Reo Maori for Maori Language Week with fun lunchtime activities around the school all week. Check out the Maori display in the Library. Activities for the Week: Monday – Whakatauki (Proverbs) on the Library windows, and the longest Maori word (chalk design) on the concrete outside the Music Block and Waimarie Tuesday – Panel art in T3 Wednesday – Completing the panel art in T3 Thursday – Maori myth scavenger hunt, starting at the whare. Prizes! Friday – Kapahaka workshop after assembly, learning waiata with the staff and student Kapahaka groups. Get in and support Te Reo in our school. There will be spot prizes all week for staff and students who can tell the Honohono team the three R’s in Maori, so get involved! Whakamana, Haepapa, Whanaungatanga. GENERAL 5. MANDARIN CLUB - Meeting in B13 on Friday for a planning session. Bring along ideas about what topics you would like to cover this term. See you there. All welcome. 6. MRS PARRYS TUMANAKO GROUP: We will meet on Tuesday at Tutor Group time. Come to B18 at Tutor time on Tuesday - see you there 7. PASIFIKA GROUP: Bring your lunch and come to A2 for a Pasifika Fusion review meeting at lunchtime today. 8. SALE**SALE**SALE**SALE** - CANTERBURY CLOTHING: This is the final opportunity to put in an order for track pants or shorts. These Canterbury tracks in navy are our official school track suit pants for all sporting codes. Other colours available. A great price to get a pair to see you through the remainder of the season in this chilly weather. Order forms are outside Student Services. HOCKEY UMPIRES: WE need two umpires for the 6.00pm and 7.00pm game tonight from blue and/or red team. Thursday we need umpires for the 6.00pm and 7.00pm games from the 1st XI. If we default we are fined. We already have 4 outstanding $50.00 fines. 19. JUNIOR A HOCKEY: All players to meet with Mr Hockey in N2 at lunchtime - just to check transport to Stratford 20. NETBALL: Development Squad at lunch time today in the Stadium. 21. INDOOR BOWLS: Practice tomorrow at lunchtime in the Old Gym. New players welcome. 22. FOOTBALL: Bordaz Team: Meeting Interval Tuesday in B1 23. SOCIAL FOOTBALL: This starts again this Wednesday with the following games occurring. Please note the change in venue for Club Craken. BASKETBALL - ALL: All Friday night games start again this week 25th of July. Please make sure you check the stadium notice board for your game times and when you have duty. A reminder all teams MUST provide their referee and ensure someone is capable on the score bench. Subs for the season should have already been paid to Student Services. If there are still fees outstanding, then you risk being stood down from future games. Any questions see Ms. Murray in the Sports Dept. office. 25. NETBALL - ALL: Saturday games start again this weekend 26th of July. Please ensure you check the website on netballtaranaki.org.nz for your game times. Umpiring duties will continue, so make sure you have a look at the Stadium notice board for your allocated duty. Failure to do your umpire incurs a $150.00 fine from Netball Taranaki which school does not cover, so please make sure you are well organised.
