#DAY 2 TESTIMONIES WEEK – BIRTHDAY WEEK Today as I sit thinking back of the events of my life, struggling to choose which one to share with you today since I declared this week as the Testimonies Week – Glorifying God for His goodness and the good work He had begun in my life. My spirit is hovering over and over on Romans 8:28, “All things work together for the good of those that love God…” Again, I find myself thinking about Baking a Cake! The ingredients I use when I bake a cake. How horrible each ingredient taste on its own! Imagine eating raw eggs!!! Yuk!!! How about butter? Can you eat raw Flour ke? The answer is “NOPE”, you can’t eat those ingredients as raw as they are, chances are you’ll end up in hospital! But in order to have a delicious cake, you need all of them mixed well together, with the accurate amount of each ingredient. Put them in the oven, turn up that heat and a few minutes later – VOILA!! It’s my beautiful-delicious Bar One Cake!!! The Bible says God is the potter and we are like clay in His hands! Me as the Baker of my cake I decide what goes into my cake and how much of it! That is what God is doing in our lives – He decided what goes into our lives and how much of it should go into our lives! That is why there is a verse that say ‘UNkulunkulu ngeke asinike okungaphezu kwamandla wethu.’ Now all these baking ingredients can be the hurt, the pain, broken dreams, loss of loved ones, loss of time, the stresses of the day, the toxic relationships, the negative people, the critics, the mistakes put together, mixed well in the bowl and then handed over to the oven where there is heat to make sure that whatever has been mixed is eatable! That oven, that heat could simply means the crisis we face, the break-downs, losing your mind, your heart and sometimes yourself. All things work together for your good! All this that you have been through, no matter how horrible it has been, no matter how much you think you might not survive it, let me tell you – All those things, be it bad or good experiences, they are in God’s bowl, they might even be in God’s oven as we speak mara oksalayo wait for the outcome! Wait for the end results! Just wait for the cake! Ngoba kunye engikwaziyo, is that ‘all things are working out for your good.’ Believe me I know what I’m talking about! I have been through it all, over and over again. Sometimes I just think ‘am not going to survive this one’, but guess what? I am still standing! There are those things that I just wish can work out differently but they don’t! there are those that I just wish and pray them away mara they are still here. One thing that is constant with me though is that, every day when I wake up and get up, I make the decision not to worry myself about God things – you know those things that are just beyond you, I call them God-size things therefore God will deal with them. I could have decided to tell you about a thing or two that relates to this encouragement today but instead I feel it is better for me to tell you that “GOD AINT DONE WITH YOU JUST YET! Your current situation is not your final destination! Your latter shall be greater! All things are working out for your good my friend!
