....DEEP-breathe in, HOLD, and EXHALE, DEEP-breathe in, HOLD, and EXHALE.... My GOD (heavy sigh).....the dreadful Friday is HERE, and there is absolutely nothing we can do to reverse the events of the DARK WEDNESDAY we will never ever forget....the Wednesday that was 30th July 2014.....the Wednesday our peaceful nation (Botswana) woke up to the most HORRIFYING and SHATTERING of news..... The young, delightful, charming, charismatic, brilliant, articulate and arguably the MOST compelling politician of our time, was announced dead...Just like that, he was DEAD; why??!! why??!! why??!!, how??!! how??!! our beloved people interrogated desperately in ANGUISH TODAY, with very heavy and bleeding hearts, we return our marvelous ICONIC son of the soil to the SOIL, to the soil of Serowe....we do this with great appreciation and gratitude that he SELFLESSLY served us remarkably well in his life, opening our drowsy-eyes to the multifaceted nature of complex DEMOCRACY. He sacrificed himself to tackle complex DEMOCRACY. To this day, Im still haunted by the relentlessly WEEPING women, desperately clutching at his trousers and hugging him so tightly outside the courts, following the unfavorable out-come and INJUSTICE of what we later dubbed; The Gomolemo Motswaledi Case. My beloved brothers and sisters of the Republic of Botswana, let us come together as a NATION, let us THROW AWAY party colors and symbols for TODAY, just for TODAY; to give our FALLEN HERO a BEFITTING SEND-OFF for the SCRUPULOUS GENTLEMAN he was. He touched all of our lives in a PROFOUND manner. We will ALWAYS LOVE and MISS YOU delightful Gee-Em Rest in Eternal Peace Majestic son of the soil. (welled-up-eyes)
