“DIGITAL KALPANA” Ma Faiza & Prematron This collaboration has been a long time coming, as both of us have been busy on the road and stuck in our own projects, but finally after talking about making something together in the studio, we did it! This track is a mad mixture of styles that we both really like. The track starts off in a techno groove, the listener quite unaware of what is to come. Then around a minute into the track the sitar shines its rays and kicks the track off into a completely different direction – more progressive trance – fat, outdoor sounds that cannot be ignored. The track has rising 303 inspired acid leads flirting with a voice and the sunshine sitar. As if that wasn’t enough, the track takes another turn around three minutes in, there’s some reggae licks that twist into dub step with some fat fat baselines, and spits out mayhem all over whatever you had heard earlier. Around four minutes in comes some mental psychedelic beats dancing with the sparkling sitar – then back to the techno groove as if nothing happened before – psychedelic leads and pads rising upward towards the sky – then at five and half minutes the track lights up like a flare – glowing brightly with a Indian flavour.
