#Daily searchlight. Thursday, 13th March, 2014. THE COMMAND TO BE PERFECT. Be ye perfect even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. (Matthew 5:48KJV). Being perfect is a possibility which many so-called christian believers doubt today! But it is the perfected christian God wants and thats why when God saw that imperfection was in the time of Moses, the prophets, the minor prophets and even with Jesus disciple; thus God sent His Dearly Son to die for us to make us perfected to righteousness! Lets see the possibility as we draw out form others in the Bible. And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.( Genesis 5:24kjv). Enoch walked with God does not mean he had a partial walk with God. No and never because sin and righteousness are not same. Darkness is not in our God for in Him, theres light and this Light is Christ! Here is the challenge- Can two walk together, except they be agreed? (Amos 3:3). Enoch have thus come to agreement with God to be a righteous man despite the sinfulness of his time. Think about this. It was at his time God was angry with the men on earth and the flood came up against all men. Having therefore these promses, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God (2 Corinthians 7:1 kjv). How is then that we say it is not possible to be perfect? This is because we have not cleansed ourselves from filthy talks, friends, communication, jobs, relationships and even services. If we are really careful to hunger and thirst after righteousness, why are we not going to be filled? When Christ has made and given the precepts, provision and prayer for the perfection in holiness and righteousness. In His precepts, provision and prayer- And for their sakes i sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on Me through their(His disciples) word.(John 17:19,20). Again He prayed, Sanctify them through Thy truth: Thy word is truth.(John 17:17). If there is sanctification in your mortal bodies, there will be perfection because then the Holy Spirit gives you utterances to speak and not of your own self again. In actions in thoughts in meditation as the rest, is then controled by the spirit. For these perfection first there must be a true conversion before you can fully walk with God. You must come out of the darkness of doubt and unbelieve of inperfection this then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: but if we walk walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. (1 John 1:5-7). He walked to God Holy even when in the nature of man. Thats why you can purge yourself off sin to be perfect. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. (1 John 2:5,6). We can walk with God with all these indications but we must be first transform into the Light of God; this Light is Christ. Secondly, there must be real concencration for a perfected walk with God in godliness. If a diligence and determination to be a perfect christian come up to a goal in a believers heart; he/she will be filled because blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.(Matthew 5:6). God promises through Jesus is that they(that are determined to be perfect) shall be filled. See what it says in Hebrew 13:20,21- Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting convenant, make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. Brother and sister, women and men, old and young if only you believe there is power, so mighty that can cleans you. That power that can roll off the stone from the grave. That power that quickens the dead come to live. He that has that power calls you to be perfect! You can be only believe!! He has layed the precepts for you, He has said that prayer for your perfection and made the provision to make you perfect!!! Prayers: Lord, I thank You for Thy word, that with You, all Things are possible; now make me perfect!!!
