#DailyVictoryDevotional SATURDAY NOVEMBER 22, 2014 TOPIC: WHAT IS THE QUALITY OF PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE ? GOLDEN SCRIPTURE: Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in Christ Jesus: Who have for my life laid down their own necks: unto whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles - Romans 16: 3 - 4. The quality of people in your life would determine how fast and far you go in life. Don’t hang around everybody; you were not made to have everybody around you. There are people everywhere, but choose your company wisely. “Not every stone is a precious stone”. Ordinary stones are abundant, but precious stones are in short supply. In a picnic recently in Abuja, a lady minister said, “There are beautiful, charming, born again and well-shaped girls everywhere, but you can’t easily find a wife among them...most of them are empty.” That talks of scarcity of wife materials. No wonder The Bible did not say he that finds a girl or a lady – Proverbs 18: 22. Fake people are everywhere, but real people are scarce. A few grams of diamond cost far more than tones of ordinary stones or even gravel. Even in the ministry, the quality of people serving as leaders would affect the spiritual growth and expansion of a church. It has nothing to do with the quantity of leaders, but their quality. The Israelites once said to king David, ‘…thou are worth ten thousand of us…(2 Samuel 18: 3). What a word! It is therefore not the quantity of people in your life that determines your worth, but the quality of people. Some people have plenty of empty people in their lives, who do nothing but multiply problems and challenges for them. If your life is full of trouble, retrogressing or stagnant, check the quality of people around you. From today, before you commit to people in relationships, first determine the quality of people they are; there is nothing wrong with that. Bishop Abioye once said, “To love is a command, but to relate is a choice”. In essence, God commanded us to love everybody, but He never commanded us to be the friend of everybody. If you have to walk away from some people, the time to do so in now, but don’t hate them. Relate carefully. Relate wisely. Relate strategically.
