#DailyVictoryDevotional TUESDAY AUGUST 12 2014. TOPIC: THE WAY TO REST GOLDEN SCRIPTURE:- Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest - Matthew 11: 28. Rest in life has a price tag. In the school of success and exploits, rest comes by a dint of hard work. Jesus promises true rest for those that labour, and until you are a true labourer, hardness of life will dog your path. To escape the dungeon of shame and dishonour, you must arm yourself with diligent labour. Seest thou a man diligent in his business, he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men. Proverbs 22: 29. Labourers are those who gainfully employ God’s investment of grace in their lives, for the slothful has no place in the divine economy. ‘Let us therefore labour to enter into the rest’. Hebrew 4: 11. Bishop David Abioye once said, if you refuse to labour with your hands you will settle for hardship and restless life’’. Hardship is the product of laziness. Look at these verses and learn wisdom. The labour of the righteous tendest to life. Prov.10:16. He that gathereth by labour shall increase. Prov.13:11. Until you labour, your are not permitted to rest. In all labour, there is profit but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury. Prov. 14:23. Pay the price today and play tomorrow. If you choose to play today, you would end up in pains tomorrow. The choice is yours, but choose wisely, chose labour. PRAYER: Lord, grant me the grace and courage to pay the price today. BIBLE IN ONE YEAR PLAN: Psalms 87 – 88, Romans 13.
