(Day 2 of 2) PHIVOLCS conducted a Seminar-Workshop for Local Government Units (LGU) and Barangay Officials: Earthquake and Tsunami Awareness and Preparedness for Oriental Mindoro in Commemoration of the 20th Anniversary of the 15 November 1994 Mindoro Magnitude-7.1 Earthquake and Tsunami on 4-5 June 2014 at Parang Beach Resort, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro. Ma. Mylene Martinez-Villegas, PHIVOLCS Geologic Disaster Awareness and Preparedness Division Chief and other personnel facilitated the seminar-workshop attended by PDRRMO Head Rowena Sans, Jesse Pine of DOST-PSTD, Marc Victore of OCD–Region 4B, Vice Mayor Brederick Castillo of Baco, and other LGU officers and staff of Oriental Mindoro.
