#Day58Downsyndromeawareness #MDSC #Day9 #Downsyndromeawarenessmonth 3 MAJOR DOSES OF AWESOME today, and a reflection. 1. Drews awesome EI teacher showed me a picture if her daughter, whos in high school.. she dyed her hair blue and yellow for Ds awareness month! 2. Our cashier, Jack at Market Basket, also in high school said, I love seeing him, he makes my day. (Referring to Drew). He recognized Drew and went on to sweetly tell me how he volunteers at Best Buddies and has a peer that he hangs out with a few times a week and calls once a week. He said he considers him a friend and it doesnt feel like community service. My feelings are that when Drew and his generation get to high school.. I will have to explain the history of awareness and inclusion campaigns. It will be HISTORY. Their generation will be on to something bigger and better by then!!! 3. I.AM.SPEECHLESS. Truly. 58 days, 83 teammates, and over $20,700!!! What can one possibly say to express the gratitude and thanks for something so massive??? All because 1 little boy.
