‘Daylight in Dublin’ The first light rolls in over Dublin - TopicsExpress

‘Daylight in Dublin’ The first light rolls in over Dublin from the East, surveying the rippling waves of the river Liffey, weaving its way under & over the citys stone & iron bridges. The early-risers read their morning papers, sipping their coffees, crossing South to North & North to South, marching to their playlists... Ancient leather-polished slabs of Granite shimmer in the changing light, sheltering tiny flowers in their cracks, picked out in vivid chartreuse along with haloed canopies of gnarled Limes & London Plane trees overhead. The first buses arrive in a convoy passing between Trinity Colleges wrought iron railings & the curved colonnade of Bank of Irelands Old Parliament Building, passing under the watchful eyes of Grattan, Davis, Moore & Burke, theyve seen the city change so much & yet stay the same. Warm lamps flicker off, the celtic ironwork of Dublins streetlights emerge from a blurry glow, as everything begins to give way to a somehow friendly cold blue light. Daylight in Dublin City, woven in silk by Brendan Joseph. Available to purchase brendanjoseph/signature-scarves/daylight-in-dublin
