> Debbie Latimer: > BCCPAC does not represent BC Parents. Lets look at the math a little differently. According to your first vice president, John Puddifant, there are approximately 1,000,000 parents in B.C. and 28 parents met in a meeting in Richmond on August 16. That does not equal 81% of parents. In fact its only .000028% . BCCPAC is not the primary advocate for my children. Any group that represented kids in this province would know that class size and composition are vital to these negotiations. Saying that these two issues do not reflect the current issue is lunacy. Comments like this just show me how much BCCPAC has moved away from representing the kids and parents of this province. And now you want this widely representative organization to participate in discussions about teachers workload. Having BCCPAC at the negotiation tables is ludicrous. That would be like having another liberal supporter at the table. The negotiating parties have made a commitment to try to work together - lets not add any more fuel to an already blazing fire.<
