‘Defined Terms’ immaterial for us ‘Want solution of K-issue at any cost’: Bhat Srinagar, Nov 17, CNS: Senior Separatist leader and Chairman Muslim Conference Professor Abdul Gani Bhat Sunday said that the purpose of Hurriyat (M) is to resolve Kashmir issue at any cost and the amalgam can adopt any approach that would lead towards the solution of this long pending issue. “The ‘defined terms’ like UN Resolutions, Bilateral and Trilateral talks are immaterial for us. What we want is the solution of Kashmir issue. Why should we trouble ourselves with these defined terms? The important thing is mechanism and we would follow that mechanism which would help us to resolve Kashmir problem,” Bhat told Srinagar based news agency CNS adding that Kashmiri people want solution of Kashmir issue through any means. He said that Hurriyat (M) is at a stage where these defined terms like bilateral and trilateral talks carry no importance and value. “Our destination is the resolution of Kashmir and we would adopt or accept any means which would lead us towards the resolution of Kashmir issue,” he said adding that Kashmiri people have suffered a lot and it is the time to find ways and means to Kashmir problem. “We have no problem if India and Pakistan resolve this issue and we have no problem either if this long pending issue gets resolved via UN resolutions, bilateral or trilateral talks. We are concerned about the solution and not about the means,” he said. Professor Abdul Gani Bhat said that once we reach at final stage then all the Separatist leadership of Kashmir have to sit across the table and take a decision. “Leadership has to play a role to get the issue resolved. There should be unity of purpose and unity on Kashmir issue,” he said. While replying to a question, Bhat told CNS that disunity and disintegration amoung separatist leadership is in no way an impediment towards Kashmir issue. “Do you find unity in Pakistan or Indian leadership. There should be unity of purpose, which is present in Kashmir. Even Omar Abdullah and Mufti Muhammad Sayeed bat for Kashmir solution and this is the proof of unity of purpose in Kashmir,” Bhat said.
