“Deliberately encouraging tens of billions of dollars of waste, fraud, and abuse in order to achieve a political objective is profoundly immoral.” — Avik Roy Remember when they rolled out ObamaCare with a nifty website that didn’t work? Healthcare.gov opened and promptly collapsed, due to a botching of just about everything by Canadian-based CGI Federal. Sure, they got $678 million and many months to prep a website that a private company probably could have built for ten bucks over a weekend, but now the cost is over $1 billion and who cares, really? Seven months after the feds were forced to fire CGI for its botched work on the Obamacare website, the IRS awarded the same company a $4.5 million IT contract for its new Obamacare tax program. Now why on earth would they do that, you ask? Hang in there – the truth won’t surprise you. According to data compiled by Bloomberg Government, Obamacare has already cost taxpayers $73 billion – which is nothing compared to Obamacare’s 10-year spending estimated costs of $2.6 trillion over the decade. Back to CGI Federal. Why were they chosen to build and operate the website and why in god’s name would anyone ever do business with them again? Oh, I don’t know – Toni Townes-Whitley, senior vice president at CGI Federal, was a classmate of Michelle Obama at Princeton. She was hired directly after ObamaCare was passed and promptly (according to White House visitor records) attended meetings at the White House at least four times between 2010 and 2013. She was invited to social events at The White House, belongs to the same clubs as the First Lady, etc. etc., but it could be just a big coincidence, you know. Nothing to see here because cronyism is the Chicago way and the way of this administration. It certainly had nothing to do with the health and welfare of the American people. But you don’t care. CGI is not just the company behind the healthcare.gov epic fail. CGI is also the company behind the $2.7-billion failed, Liberal-launched Canadian Gun Registry that was so plagued with corruption and mismanagement it brought on an investigation by Canadian Auditor General Sheila Fraser. But now, just 7 months after getting the boot from Healthcare.gov, the IRS awarded the same company a $4.5 million contract to help collect new taxes from you. I’m sure they’ll do a bang-up job. In Canada, Ontario health officials fired CGI after it failed to deliver a flagship provincial online health registry. These guys are massively incompetent, but they just keep getting work… somehow! Oh, and hey – check this out, sportsfans: Ever wonder why that whole Hurrican Sandy Relief Fund has been such a debacle? People still living in tents and such? CGI Federal is named as the group charged with implementing the Disaster Housing Assistance Program. They are also contracted to assist in the implementation of the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery Program, a program that had recently received $1.7 billion in aid. Sickening – something you’d see in a third world country where the dictator plunders the countries assets and treasury. And it’s far from over – ObamaCare is the biggest slush fund in the history of the nation. It was originally sold with the idea that insurance companies were the monsters and this would cut them down to size. But Insurance companies wrote the bill, heavily influenced the regulations and then got waivers exempting them from the law, which mandates that all Americans buy their products or face a fine. That’s supposed to hurt insurance companies? Are you high? Have you checked their stock prices lately? And what would a government agency under Obama be if it didn’t include gathering your private information and spreading it around? From money.cnn/2015/01/21/technology/security/obamacare-website-advertisers/ Healthcare.gov, the federal website where you sign up for Obamacare, is quietly sharing your personal information with private companies. The evidence is in the computer code on the website itself. It shows that Healthcare.gov is relaying certain information, such as your zip code, income level, pregnancy status and whether or not you smoke. That information is being shared with several third parties. DoubleClick is a Google subsidiary that serves up advertisements and tracks your movements online. Healthcare.gov also shares your data with Twitter, Yahoo, YouTube and others. All just one big happy, fascist family. Americans are being manipulated into supporting ObamaCare and the Republicans will be getting into the act, now that they’ve seen what a fantastic way to extract tax-payer dollars it is. We are being bamboozled. But you don’t care. No, you don’t. The Washington Post reports Congressional Republicans may be considering having hearings about Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber’s comments applauding the “lack of transparency” surrounding the passage of the health-care law. Ohio Representative Jim Jordan, a member of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee told The Washington Post Wednesday, “We may want to have hearings on this. We shouldn’t be surprised they were misleading us.” Gruber is the now-notorious Obamacare architect who has attributed Obamacare’s passage to (quote) “the stupidity of the American voters,” a “lack of transparency” about what was in the law, and “the basic exploitation” of voters, which he deemed a “very clever” way to get the law passed Read more at joeforamerica/2015/01/obamacare-waste-fraud-abuse-marches/
