🌹Denise🌹 Betrayal, Lies, Belittling, Condescending Remarks, Isolating, just to name a few in a toxic relationship can make someone stay.. After so much of that you want to prove this person wrong.. That you are not the person they keep saying you are.. There is this fear they do not want to let go of their abuser.. They would be devastated if they went to another woman and treated her better.. They get compared to the abusers Exs, that he puts some on a pedestal and others are just more crazy Exs.. That can be really toxic... Having to live up to the perfect Ex they brag about all the time. Making it seem like there is something wrong with them.. What is wrong with me they say.. Why can I not get him to love me? Fear of abandonment and rejection can wreck havoc on your mental state.. Or until they can get an apology or at least see something bad come back to their abuser.. It is hard to let go..This is why it takes so much time.. They need understanding and reassurance that it was never them.. They did nothing wrong.. That all these horrible things that have been said to them came from a horrible person.. They have to heal.. Which there is no set time on how long it could take a person to heal..
