*Dense Fog – Areas East of Richmond This Morning* *Rain Develops Friday Evening – Lasting into Saturday* *Sunday Looks Nice* DETAILS- Many areas east of Richmond this morning have some very dense fog, so please be mindful of that as you head out to work or school this morning. We will see that fog burn off by 9am to 10am this morning and mostly sunny skies will prevail for the day. It will be a decent afternoon with highs around 50s. Our skies will start off clear tonight but by Friday morning clouds will begin to move into central Virginia. These clouds are part of a very large weather system moving out of Texas. Clouds will thicken during Friday and by Friday afternoon rain will develop from south to north. Our high temperatures will only top out in the middle 40s on Friday. Steady rain will move in Friday night and into early Saturday. By the late morning hours on Saturday the steady rain will move out but showers will remain. Most of the showers will end between 3pm and 5pm on Saturday and our skies will clear out. Many areas will receive between an inch to an inch and a half of rain during Friday night through Saturday. There is still the chance that some snow could mix in with the rain, in areas well north and west of Richmond, but the chance of accumulating snow is minimal as the cold air moving in is less of a threat with this morning’s model runs. Sunday will be a decent day with highs in the upper 40s under partly sunny skies. A fast moving weather system will come in during Monday morning and that could bring us some snow showers for your commute on Monday. Tuesday and Wednesday look partly sunny with highs in the middle to upper 30s.
