< Dhruv Singhal > Stock Market The Stock or Share Market is like a beautiful woman – fascinating, complex, changing, unpredictable, charming, mystifying, moody and hugely attractive. It has all the risk of time, tide, weather, seasons, calamity and cycles. It is the barometer of the economy; it anticipates all future trends, sees in advance the technical innovations and predicts the upcoming fashions. It follows all price-indexes, rise/ fall in wages/ incomes and sentiments. It is affected by politics, business cycles, upheavals, wars and all man made or natural disasters. It is as calm as a peace of ocean at one minute and is the roughest of the rough sea at the very next minute. It would lift you to Mount Everest of happiness, only to drop you back soon into deep despair on next moment. In sort it is the sum total of all that happened in the past is happening presently and would happen in the future including the mass hysteria of greed, fear, euphoria and depression. It is true that Share Market is the place where opportunity knocks every day, however it is difficult to predict it. The only certainty in the Share Market is that just like a beau it cannot be predicted Picking a stock is like selecting a Bride!
