• Donald J. Thomas of Duryea was charged with receiving stolen property and trespassing after police observed him as he was trying to leave the property of the former Plains Lumber on Oak Street at about 5:20 p.m. Sept. 9. Police found a Ford Explorer that had been reported stolen from Philip Pisano of Pittston Township on the property, and all four tires from the Explorer were found in Thomas’ vehicle, police said. Thomas was arraigned in front of District Justice Ronald Swank and jailed at Luzerne County Correctional Facility under $10,000 straight bail.
