In my own thinking, I feel she is absolutely correct and I imagine there are few people in the world who have not – at least once – experienced the pain of rejection (and I might also add, been the one who rejected another). In that pain where we operate strictly via emotion, it’s sometimes impossible to see our own beauty. She writes: “It is never, ever your job to sell yourself. If someone is dismissive or unkind or unsure about whether they want to give you their time and energy, move along.” I use the term, “Bless them and let them go.” As casual as that sounds, it’s not always easy and it often requires great inner work to get “unstuck”!
