**EMERGENCY** PLEASE CROSS POST, SHARE, NEED TV STATIONS TO PICK UP IN THE AREA IF ANYONE HAS CONTACTS DOG STOLEN FROM STAMFORD. Eric is devastated to say the least and can hardly bear it. This dog was and is his life and his best friend. The vehicle that Harry was in could have been driven to another town, dumped somewhere and in this heat Harry will not survive. Harry could have been dumped somewhere too so all rescues, vets and shelters need to be alerted. PLEASE HELP ERIC FIND HIS BEST FRIEND BASIC SUMMARY: AT APPROX 12:30AM, IN STAMFORD, (SAT NIGHT/SUN EARLY AM) ON THE CORNER OF STATION PlACE, (DIRECTLY ACROSS FROM TRAIN PARKING LOT), MY BLUE 2003 FORD EXPEDITION TRUCK (Lic# 219 UDN) WAS STOLEN, WITH MY DOG, HARRY, A 10 YEAR OLD TRI-COLOR BASSETT HOUND) IN IT, NOW I AM TRYING ANYTHING I CAN TO GET THE WORD OUT & GET MY DOG BACK. Right now I am in a state of shock and reaching out wherever I can.I dont know what can be done, but I am going to try everything & everywhere I can with hope of my dogs return. Car is secondary. Here is a little more info on what happened. CAR THEFT: Got call at midnight that my roommate ran out of gas on his motorcycle, so I said I would bring him a can of gas. He was parked on side of road directly across the street from Stamford train station on Station Pl. (**The intersection there is lit up very well and there was no one in sight where he was parked & when I arrived). So I arrived around 12:30am. I pulled my truck in front of his bike and put on hazard lights. I left car running because I planned a quick drop off and I just wanted to hand off gas can and leave. So I gave him the can, he started to pour gas and I turned around and my truck was gone!!! Several vehicles were driving away from me on Atlantic toward Stamford, but the lighting made all vehicles dark (silhouetted). Worse was that the entrance to I95 North was only approx 50 feet away from area where our vehicles were stopped. This all happened in 10-20 seconds... MY DOG - HARRY: My dogs name is Harry. Hes been an incredible companion for 10 years and i cant consider losing him...I love all animals, but Harry is the closest companion of them all. He helped me with amazing empathy when my wife of just 45 passed a few years back. And recently, Harry & I are grieving because we just had to put our 15 year old chocolate lab, Brandy, to sleep on Wednesday. HArrys been very affected, always looking at the door for her to return. But again, we helped each other. In fact the reason I brought Harry for the ride to bring my friend gas, was because he seemed lonely and sad without Brandy. I am just in such a state of shock wondering where he is, is he afraid, hurt and all those questions. HELP: So I am not sure if there is anything you can do to get the word out to people on TV or in papers, online posts or anything Im missing. Its late, Im shocked and cant think too clearly. I will be posting ads on Craigs list and purchasing a spot in classified ads. If you have any thoughts and a free minute, please let me know anything you can recommend to help me find Harry. I know that is a big request, but Im feeling overwhelmed and more. **BTW - Unfortunately, Harry was not wearing his collar at the time when I brought him with me because he was never going to get out of the truck. But he does have a chip implanted in him so if he is lost, vets or animal control people can scan it and be directed to me. Thank you for your time and consideration.
