EOFYS: To celebrate the launch of FTIs new training facilities located in the State Library in Perth Cultural Centre, FTI is offering an End of Financial Year Special where participants can purchase every second evening short course at half price, as long as both courses are paid for before June 30th.DONT MISS OUT - ONLY A FEW DAYS TO GO. You can hold your courses in credit to use any time this year as long as they are paid for before next Monday - and use the receipt in your tax return! 6 courses per week run throughout the year. PAC SCREEN WORKSHOP 2 SEDUCTION & ROMANCE Each six week series of SWS2 has a theme which is the focus for that series. SWS2/116 has a theme of Seduction & Romance. Participants will explore what makes a romance? How do you write, direct & act in a romantic piece? All PAC course are taught by working industry professionals so you learn what is relevant for the industry. Directors, actors and writers collaborate on short scenes/ film exercises to increase their skills in creating screen drama together. Experienced industry professional Michael McCall will tutor this series. Completion of PAC Screen Workshop 1 or Essential Film Skills is a pre-requisite for enrolment in SWS2 Advanced. About the Lecturer: Michael McCall is a graduate of the NIDA Acting Course. He completed a Masters in film and television directing and screenwriting at the WA Screen Academy (2008-09) and is in the final stages of a PhD in Performing Arts at WAAPA. Michael has worked variously as a drama educator for universities (Curtin, ECU), drama academies (NIDA, WAAPA), acting agencies (RGM/Actors Management, Actors Now), theatre companies (Bell Shakespeare, Black Swan, Barking Gecko) and other programs from Perth to Sydney to New York.
