“ERNGUUL” A HUGE SUCCESS Island Times. July 11th, 2014. The recent Palau Night Market featuring the State of Koror traditionally known as “Ernguul” was huge success boasting over 1,665 attendees with 25 registered vendors who earned a combined total of over $16,400 dollars respectively. The people of Koror State showcased vendors that advertised and sold varieties of local delicacies, jewelries, and souvenirs as well as exhibited their genuine and awe-inspiring terrestrial and marine environment attractions and tips through a slide show presentation. PVA, in collaboration with Koror State Government, designed the program containing activities to be presented and performed. The program possessed the crowd’s attention demonstrating traditional performances, trivia questions and contemporary music performed by local artists. Entertainers gave the audience an insight of Palau’s rare definition of traditional performing arts as well as our adapted modern performances. Palau Visitors Authority would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the management and staff of Koror State Government, Public Safety, Echo Paradise, participating vendors, and all who attended the Palauan Night Market making it an unforgettable experience. Next State to be featured in the Palau Night Market will be Airai State traditionally known as “Belias” slated for August 8.
