******EXCITING NEWS!!!!****** Sorry for our absence, wow we have been so busy with cow shows, new cattle arrivals and other activities!! As you are aware we proceeded with an Appeal Hearing of the January 30, 2014 Stop Work Order issued by Richard Bullock. The Hearing was held on June 19, 2014 and we provided 1000’s of pages of documentation for the Appeal Commissioners to review. The Appeal Commissioners decision was released on September 5, 2014 where they referred the matter back to Richard Bullock. After the Appeal Hearing and the document submissions it has become clear that we were in fact operating within the appropriate rules and regulations of the ALC and therefore FINALLY on September 23, 2014 we received a variance of the Stop Work Order, approving us to import and process some materials for feed and bedding. We look forward to the complete removal of the Stop Work Order, hopefully in the very near future. Unfortunately because we have been so busy we have not yet been able to import any of these materials. However, ironically we were visited by a CRD by-law officer today as a result of odour complaints submitted by some of the neighbours. Coincidence?? Nothing here is different than it was prior to receiving word of the variance. In fact nothing has changed all summer aside from the number of cattle on site. Currently we have approximately 180 head of cattle on site. We look forward to resuming the importation and processing of materials to provide our cattle with safe, premium quality bedding and feed.
