“Eat Well, Live Well” is a book on our shelf at our house. Perhaps unfortunately it has not been used very much, or maybe it has just been used ‘gently’. Whatever the case, probably we are guilty of not always eating the most healthy foods and at times we pay a price for our negligence. Unfortunately, as in physical food, so it goes with all of us spiritually at times. The Scriptures invite us to “ Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.” (Psalm 34:8 NIV) The problem is that we have become so accustomed to that which is not that great that we have settled for less than the best that God has in store for us. At The Gathering Place each week, Pastor Matt encourages all to ‘taste’ the goodness of putting God first through a consistent and dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ. Tired of the ho-hum of your daily diet? That which is on God’s menu is so much better. But you have to want it enough to put down that which you are consuming to really enjoy that which is so much better. - KM
