Edible Art! Looka de Food- Blessings pon Pilly. .. a fabulous productive afternoon workshop with some seriously motivated NIFCA potential gold medalists. AND CELEBRITY teammate MISS P. Pearl Carrington. Salena Spice. .better get NCF to open up the coffers and get out the Gold cause we both saw the enthusiasm and commitment of the many who attended this INAUGRAL Culinary Arts workshop. . ..I know the folks who came and played WITH THEIR FOOD had a ball.. setting up the individual displays, and marrying the interactive components into one lively Cooperation, these platings were creative , carefully done and some completely whimsical, using lemon grass, bay Ieaf and Flower Fence! ! Not only were the discussions animated and focused, but the use of edible greenery spurred many to get back in touch with Heritage reminiscences of Granny fine china in the cabinet, and the love and camaraderie to be found at the family table. . the drinking of Flower Fence, SarahVenables Gold - Old Thyme Liqueur, and other tisanes and concoctions used by our forebears. . PRIDE OF BARBADOS is our National Flower and it was a privilege to use it in garde mange.... and a staunch reminder of the true nature of our National Festival. .. NIFCA Culinary Arts gives us all an excellent opportunity to stand up for those of our countrymen, whom despite all the challenges to the Agri Sector. .continue to provide delicious healthy Italiciousness, produce, and ground provisions..we discussed the innovative use of premium quality, delicious food from our own. BAJAN fields and Hills, rather than from Mass- produced retail stores... to level the COSTS of the competition playing field. Denton Crichlow you gonna be one popular guy next couple of weeks. . Grateful thanks to Chef Edey and the Dining Club.. what a lively lovely Show Kitchen in which to work. .I gonna gotta pay them a.
