Edinburgh, Scotland - The mother of 3yr old Mikaeel Kular was charged with his murder but has pleaded guilty to the reduced charge of culpable homicide at the High Court in Edinburgh. A major search was launched January after Mikaeels mother reported him missing in an effort to conceal what she had done. This precious little boy had been murdered by his mother, Rosdeep Adekoya. Adekoya lost her temper with her son after he was repeatedly sick following a family day out at Nandos. Mikaeel was repeatedly beat and struck on the body and head with a clenched fist, and was dragged to the shower by his arms where he was beat heavily on his back as he lay over the bath edge causing internal damage. The horrific and brutal beating took place on the evening of Sunday 12th January. He was kept off nursery as his condition deteriorated and by Tuesday night, he was listless. Little Mikaeel died that night. His mother discovered Mikaeels body on the floor the next morning as she was waking the children. She put her sons body in a suitcase and carried him to the boot of the car before taking his twin sister to nursery. She then dumped the suitcase in woodland behind her sisters home and covered it with branches. Her account of events showed many inconsistencies. She eventually broke down and admitted to what she had done. Mikaeels death was caused by blunt force abdominal trauma. He also had more than 40 separate injuries to his body.
