“Enter through the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the road is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who go through it. How narrow is the gate and difficult the road that leads to life, and few find it.” (Matthew 7:13-14) Life is full of decisions. Full of choices. Full of paths. Each decision, each choice, each path leads to a unique set of circumstances and consequences. Jesus said that many will decide to take the wide, broad, and easy path in life. He said that many will choose a life of pleasure, self-service, and worldliness. He also said that this road leads to destruction. And not just any destruction. Destruction of the soul. Jesus said to enter through the narrow gate. To travel the narrow path. To take the difficult road. He said to seek to please God first, others second, and self last. To deny one’s self, take up one’s cross, and follow Him. Because this is the only path that leads to eternal life. He also said that few would find this road. Not many, not most, but few. My question for you today is, will you be one of the many, or one of the few? I pray you choose the narrow way. Love you and hope to see all you young people tonight at The Creek!
