. . . . . . . . . . . . . . Ever Think GOD is Not Listening? 1Jn 1:5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. GOD is infinitely good, righteous, holy, just, pure, loving, trustworthy, honest, Etc., Etc. HE is in every place, has knowledge of everything, and has universal power and authority; all that can be said cannot even begin to describe the power, goodness and purity of our holy and righteous LORD GOD ALMIGHTY. “In HIM is no darkness at all”. GOD will have no part of sin. Sinfulness is completely opposite HIS character. Perfectly good will not mix with the imperfect. GOD is light, sin is darkness. “In HIM is no darkness at all”; GOD turns his face from sin and will have nothing to do with sin; GOD hates sin; but man has sinned. Man is not the problem, sin is. Our sins must be removed before we can approach GOD. The high priest of the Old Testament had to make himself clean, purify himself, make sacrifices to cover his sins, make sacrifices to cover the sins of the people, bathe himself and wear special clothing Etc., before he could enter the Most Holy Place and stand before GOD; and even then this was allowed only once each year. This is indicative of how the purity and righteousness of GOD remains absent, isolated, and inaccessible from sin. Isa 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. Lam 3:44 Thou hast covered thyself with a cloud, that our prayer should not pass through. Isa 1:15 And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood. Isa 1:16 Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; So, how shall we “Wash you, make you clean”, by praying a sinners prayer? Of course not! GOD has already said he will not hear a sinners prayer (Joh 9:31 and above) Sin separates us so let’s get rid of it, “Wash you, make you clean”. Act 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord. That’s how we “Wash you, make you clean”. We wash away the sin! Then will GOD hear your prayers, but even then we must pray through JESUS NAME; for he paid the price and was the perfect sacrifice to take away our sins. As described in the scripture above HE will not hear until YOU remove the sin that separates. We do that by obeying the Gospel to wash away our sins. Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. It does no good to pray until you first obey. If you have never been baptized you still have your sins. If you still have your sins you are still a sinner and GOD will not hear your prayers. Joh 9:31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.
