****Excerpts of Veena Performance at Muttuswamy Dikshitar Aradhana**** First of all I thank Ashwin Iyer Radha for taking initiative to organize these wonderful events seven seas across. Thanks to Abhishek for providing wonderful sounds :) Namaskars to Vid. Vinod Mama, who kindly agreed to accompany me. Special thanks to Prakash Ji for lending his wonderful Veena. I played only Muttuswamy Dikshitars compositions for this occasion. Probably one of the most demanding concerts that I played, firstly because I had a sarangi concert just a couple hours after this and exams during the whole week and even the day before :-o secondly Ashwin who is an authority on dikshitars composition was in the audience. Words fail to thank my guru Vidvan D. Balakrishna, a living legend and an authority on Karnatak classical music and Mysore baani of Veena. The man who never turned me away whenever I went with a begging bowl of knowledge to him. Instead he fed me a sumptuous meal (hoLige oota i.e. poLi saapaad), packed enough to eat at home and taught me to cook as well so that I can eat for ever :( You still have people like this in this f***in cruel world which is filled with mostly fake gurus.
