***** FIRST CALL on FIRST PART OF STORM ******* Let me try to explain....Pictured below are the 3 main models. The EURO which is showing the BEAST in the EAST of a BLIZZARD. The CMC just brings a clipper storm south of PA providing the area with light snow. The storm is too far northeast for any impacts in Pa. The GFS model is the American model. This is the model that our local stations follow. This model JUST MADE A HUGE LEAP IN THE DIRECTION OF THE EURO. The other picture is the RGEM which is the short range model of the CMC. This shows that the CMC when it does run again in 4 hours will show the storm like the GFS now does. So as you can see there are a lot of IFS here. 24 hours ago there was no coastal storm on any model just a clipper with 1-3 inches of snow. Now we fast forward to this afternoon and evening and BAM we have a possible BLIZZARD close by. So here it goes...... Light snow will begin falling in LUZERNE COUNTY Sunday night. It will snow across all of Pa. This light snow will continue all day Monday but it will be on and off NOT steady. Total amounts will range between 2-4 by DARK. ROUND 2...The BEAST IN THE EAST....IF this storm does take shape like its beginning to show signs of I will have a call on this storm Tomorrow afternoon if not sooner. Chances of this happening, 6-12 inches as of 11 am today was ZERO Chances of this now has increased to 30% regardless of what happens here...there are more and more in the pipeline along with BRUTAL cold temperatures. There will be nor rain or sleet issues anytime soon with any storm......
