***** FOR LOAN ON BEHALF OF OWNER **** Benny (Benozzo Gozzoli) approx 16.2hh, 8yo ex racehorse by Medicean who has been out of training since Summer 2013. He was retired as he wasn’t enjoying it anymore. Benny is completely sound and is currently barefoot but could be shod. As a racehorse, he ran on the flat, over hurdles and over fences. He is a complete project and has been out of work for a while but is young enough to be retrained in any discipline and could possibly do riding club. He would also make a lovely happy hack, as he is very laid back and genuine. Benny is not a spooky horse, although lacks confidence in himself. A quiet but confident rider could really bring out the best in him, although he has been ridden whilst in training by someone more novice. I think that with him good ground work will be key. Benny is currently stabled at night and turned out during the day. He is very well behaved in his stable, tidy and polite. He has not been known to kick or bite. He loads and travels exceptionally well and he is very sweet natured. His present owner would like to retain ownership of Benny, and would like his new owners to feel that they could send him back if they ever needed to (rather than him being sold on). He is being rehomed through no fault of his own, due to his owners pregnancy. Please PM for contact details.
