* * * * * FOR SALE * * * * * Ford Transit 2.0 Tdci 125BHP recovery truck. This is an amazing truck powered by a 125 BHP front wheel drive 2.0 tdci unit. With being FWD the truck has no prop shaft, rear diff and is single wheel all resulting in a super lightweight truck. The back is a 100% alloy construction and the truck weighs a mere 1800kg giving a massive payload of 1700kg (I have a weight ticket to verify) and is 156 long. The truck has covered 230k and drives as good as a car, returning 35mpg. Dont let the miles put you off, I was always swayed by miles and wasnt going to buy this truck but the guy I bought it off took me out for a 20 minute run and I drove it back, honestly, it drives better than most cars. I have a diesel tuning box fitted to it and you wouldnt believe the improvement to an already potent 125BHP engine and Ive got it turned down a bit for economy. I went to Derby in it the other day and apart from in the town I never got the truck out of 5th gear ....you wouldnt believe the torque. The truck has a current MOT until about October off the top of my head. I know you can get then with a few less miles on for what Im asking but they will have a steel back and will weigh about 2300kgs giving you a shite payload of 1200kgs. You cannot overload this truck within reason, I weighed a Mondeo in a few weeks back and the truck only weighed 3200kgs loaded! !!!
