His knowledge and experience of exotic woods and wood finishing is clear to see here. It is made in the Connoisseur style with hand spliced jet black ebony, then flamed maple, and finished round butt style with nicely figured thuya burr. Classic design. Done well. The ash shaft has nicely spaced chevrons, a blank under belly, and has a nice golden colour to the wood. It comes with an Elm Burr mini butt complete with Jim Black badge too.
