Motherhood is an irrevocable change—once you become a mom, you will always be a mom, regardless of what happens in the rest of your life, or even in the lives of your children. You are different now, as a mama. And that difference is such a beautiful change. The “ALICE” wrap celebrates this change—this journey into the Wonderland of Motherhood. This will be the only “Alice” wrap released by Mad Hatter Warped and Wonderful, now or in the future—it’s a true one-of-a-kind. This special colourway obviously references Alice’s blonde hair and blue pinafore, but it’s also a moment of sunshine on a clear day, and the contrast between sun and moon, and the change of light between day and night. There is beauty in change. This semi-custom, ALICE” is a one-of-a-kind colourway. The final wrap will be 4.6m in length, and the buyer will have choice of weft color and fiber type (must be a colour/fiber we have on hand or a vendor has in stock.). We will help you navigate through your weft options and provide guidance in selecting the best possibilities for your individual style and babywearing needs. We do not offer blessing threads, gradient weft changes, or weft pin-striping (the only weft changes available are those we have done in the past.) We will begin the process of selecting weft colour and fiber on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 and will need to have final selection in by Tuesday, October 21, 2014. The warp is already on the loom as photographed using high quality non-mercerized cotton and will be woven by Queen Hatter using our signature full heart weave with weft colour/fiber of your choice (limited to what we have on hand or what a vendor has in stock). Handwoven textiles are perfect in their own way. There is evidence of the weaving process which we refer to as handwoven charm, this is not to be confused with flaws. Evidence of the weaving process includes weaver knots, thickening of threads, and faint weft lines. We are perfectionists, and we try to make these traits minimal. Flaws would include broken warp or weft threads, skipped threads, and other characteristics that would compromise the integrity of the textile. Buyer is responsible for priority shipping with insurance and delivery confirmation. Shipping fees will be collected upon completion.
