...FROM MDOT: Lanes reopening at I-94/I-69 interchange The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is reopening two lanes of I-94 in each direction at the I-69 interchange in St. Clair County tomorrow afternoon. However, MDOT reminds motorists that future work may require lane closures as construction continues to rebuild the Port Huron-area interchange. Eastbound I-69 also is expected to reopen early next week, with the eastbound I-94 ramp to eastbound I-69 expected to reopen after the first of the year. The eastbound I-94 ramp to west I-69 is expected to reopen before early February. The westbound I-94/I-69 ramp remains unchanged and is open to westbound I-69. The westbound I-69 Business Loop ramp remains closed until fall 2015. Work will continue on the interchange throughout the winter but will mostly involve bridge work in the medians, on the shoulders, and off-site. No closures are scheduled until spring 2015. Overall, this $80 million project is expected to be completed by fall 2015. Motorists are encouraged to follow michigan.gov/drive and twitter/MDOT_BWB for up-to-date lane closure info.
