Faith Says: My Heart is Satisfied and Settled With God by lmb516 Be still and know that I am God... Psalm 46:10 My heart is satisfied and settled with God. All is well. I heard those words earlier this week during a bible study I am involved in. Immediately I thought to myself, Can I say the same thing? And I then thought of you - would that be a true statement for you as well? What exactly does this statement mean? Lets unpack some of its meaning: Satisfied - one meaning of this word is: to fulfill the desires, expectations, needs, or demands of a person; content. Another word for satisfied is quenched. The question is, in knowing God - not just know about Him - but really knowing Him, have you allowed Him to satisfy the desires, expectations and needs of your heart? Have you allowed the God-shaped void we are all created with to be satisfied with Him? Have you allowed His unconditional love, extravagant grace and mercy and surpassing peace to quench your hearts desires? If not, my friend...trust me on this ~ He is more than enough to satisfy the deepest longings of your heart. You just need to let Him. Settled - one meaning of this word is: to place in a desired state or in order (to settle ones affairs); to resolve definitely. The question is have you allowed God to be the One who settles the affairs of your heart? Have you allowed Him to be the One who steers the course of your life? And most importantly, have you allowed Him to be the One who wipes clean the slate of your heart and calls you His own? If not, my friend...trust me on this as well ~ He desperately wants to settle the affairs of your heart and call you His own. You just need to let Him. Once you answer those questions, you will be able to say All is well. That doesnt mean a life of perfection, a life without trouble or heartache. But it does mean that He will be faithful to be with you through it all and even more importantly, will give you the strength to be victorious to live amidst your circumstances. Be still and know that He is God...All will be well! It Is Well With My Soul youtube/watch?v=X6yDFn3OAFo LynneBauman
