“Fantastic” 5 of 5 starsReviewed 21 December 2014 NEW I have only ever eaten here before for lunch and it has always been lovely, last night was the first time that I had eaten dinner there and I wish that I had sooner. It was a lovely atmosphere as well as excellent food, from what I could see the table bookings had been staggered to a couple of tables every 15 mins and this made for a nice relaxed setting with the staff being to focus on every table made for a nice change as usually restaurants like to cram as many in as possible and through no fault of the waiting staff this makes for a less than average experience. Our food was excellent, in my opinion it was one if the best meals I have had for a very long time, the food was wonderful, well presented and everything on the plate complimented each other flavour wise- the pork loin I ordered just melted in my mouth. Even my mother enjoyed it (her ridiculous food requests were met with a smile as nothing was to much trouble). I do eat out in York a lot and Ate Oclock will be a new favourite.
