$$$$ Film Funding.....for woman over 40 in film, starring in our film POSITIVE....and me to co-star with (her) them if I can produce the investment???!!! I dont know how much it would take for a brilliant name actor (actress) like Rosanna Arquette to come on board...so we can finish shooting POSITIVE? But heres what I am willing to commit - my whole artistic being...discipline...and actors soul to this film! I will drop everything to make sure my part in this film is given every ounce of my devotion to Chass vision...as Darryl. My life given to me by the most important woman of all, my mother...the strongest, most hard working woman I will ever know...set me right on course and ready for the many significant woman who would bless and influence my life. My first boss IRIS EBER, was an amazing woman who took over the electronics business EBER ELECTRONICS in SF, from her ailing husband while being mother to her quadriplegic son....Iris gave me the opportunity to be the youngest employee ever at EBER ELECTRONICS in SF in 1981. Iris commanded respect because she not only held the reigns...but she held the legacy of a pioneer in her care with an almost all male staff. Iris told me once, I was like the son she never had...and that kind of mother magic & honesty....transcended all male ego/competition waves that might have have dominated my daily game back then. But she deserved so much more...and I learned under her careful influence and her hopes for my success...that I would shine without being compromised. I will never be able to thank her enough for setting me on the right course. Then...there was a very profound and special lady.... producer/writer who gave me my start in film and ace ting was a very poweful woman artist/visionary....Patricia Royce. Pat brought me to Seattle to work on Daredreamer. my first business partner creating CINEMa ESPRESSO, Tiffany Paulsen...my first 4 acting agents...TISH LOPEZ, LISa KING (Canada) Nanette troutman & Sam Downey (Portland), Monica Rodriguez (Portland) all...hold special places in my heart & career. Shannon Hartman at Prisciillas Coffee tea & Gifts...my boss when I moved to Southern Calif to pursue acting more intensely...but still needed a job! all these woman were the models of POSITIVE...and to this day, my wife Lisa...an in home elderly caregiver. I see more in her compassion/strength as a woman (former super model turned nurse & mother) than any other woman I know...besides my sister!!! I am nothing without all these woman....all over 40 now. My goal is to honor them and all others...that I can be part of the creation of this little powerful funny, important film POSITIVE by Chas Halpern. $$$$$$$$$$$ is the key to our success.
