* First Thursday of the month my car didnt start. Somebody from one of the fb groups looked at at Friday & concluded it was the fuel pump. Found out it was under warranty, so Monday the car went to George. * Got it back Wednesday night. * Friday car didnt start, put the quick charger on it, eventually started. We went to deliver Avon & get my son for him to get his daughter. Did a few errands for them & got a couple orders delivered. Got him shut off the car & tried it, it would not start. * Saturday (after the second Thursday of the month) George came & got the car with his car dolly. * Get the car back, again its a Wednesday night. Starter replaced & was told to have the charger on the battery over night. We did. * Third Thursday, it started mid-morn. Bill took charger off. We went to leave, mid-afternoon, car didnt start. Charger back on. {By now, my anxiety is kicking in: Danny & I have Friday morning appts in Danville; plus all these Avon Christmas orders that wont deliver them selves on their own.} Charger goes back on over night. * Friday early am: car starts. Bill left charger off for 30 min & it started again. So he took it to Advance (got battery there 10 months ago) & the battery, starter & alternator all tested normal / good. The guy said we are good to go to Danville & back. I called Danny & got ready. Bill put the 4 boxes of Avon in the trunk & the car started again, so on our way to get Dan. Went to our apps, came out & the car started. Went down town (Beiters, Dollar General & Thrift Store), got in the car & it started. Heading home, stopped at Burkholders for sandwiches, came out & the car started. Bill pulled around to the side lot for us to eat. Started the car, almost. The guy from the garage across the way sprayed eather & tried & tried some more. About an hour later, we called the roadside assistance through my insurance (very spotty cells service), then we called several people to get us home. Bill stayed with the car, back to the garage yet again. * Wont know anything about my car till Monday, ya know, the day before, the day before Christmas Eve day. 》 A huge debt of loving gratitude goes out to Diana Dauberman & Jenny Miller for rescuing us. 《 By the time we got stranded around 1:30 - 2:00 till the tow service (came out of Sillingsgrove) got the car up Lycoming Creek Road & we got home, it was about 7:00 pm. Im not sure how to feel ...... 1. Still have all these orders yet that need delivered before Christmas. Im so thankful for those that have picked them up here. 2. Think the last time we went to Weis / grocery shopping was for the last minute things for Thanksgiving. We are well stacked with canned vegies & some other canned goods BUT as for the food & ham for Christmas Dinner, some other things were out of, cat food & litter, etc we really should visit Weis for about an hour or longer. Right now, looks doubtful it will happen, cause ...... Its to much for Bill to handle on the bus & physically Im unable to catry anything of weight. So we may be having hot dogs for Christmas Dinner. Hate to ask people unless it wouldnt really be out of the way & where we live IS out of the way for most people we know, so were not asking them. Wondering about our children?!? My ones son lives 2 hrs away, the other one dont have a vehicle & both boys work. My daughter has her job at a retail store & long hours, plus she needs to get ready for Christmas also. Bills one daughter works & dont talk to us to often. The other one could ride the bus with us & be an extra set of hands (& use her folding cart if she still has it), but she has some health issues & many times is sick.
