“For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” St. Mark 11:23 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” Proverbs 18:21 Words are powerful. Children of God have a power that many do not even realize. As believers, we have the power to either speak things into existence or remove things from existence (in the spirit). The forces of darkness are well aware of this. This is why they saturate television, movies and music with words of destruction and filth and degradation. They also know that if you gain any knowledge of your power over spiritual wickedness through the word of God, their reign in your life could come to an end. This is why we pray out loud; this is why we sing praises and worship out loud; this is why we speak to certain situations out loud. The spiritual wickedness that may be present can hear you. But there is one crucial element that must be present for all this to work; without it, darkness laughs in your face. And that necessary element is faith. Don’t just speak it, believe it. Only then can you begin to move your mountains.
