The requirement is listed in the official announcement which you can find here cambodia.usembassy.gov/ayc_announcement.html. An AYC member has to possess all these qualities. Strong English skill means you can write and speak English well, so you can communicate well with the embassy, the Ambassador, the members and others. - [Roles] Sun Sokteang MK and Hem Heng Monique have asked about AYCs role. We have two main roles. 1- to act the youth council to the Ambassador ( we inform him about youths concerns, perspectives...) 2- do projects ( Education, Employment, Environment...) -[Time Commitment] To Sreymoch Bun, Theara Teang, and Mary Mearri, AYC does not have strict working hours. It is flexible and depends mainly on the projects. You may even find yourself work from your homes or schools sometimes. Though this is a voluntary work, please take into account your current tasks and time at work before you apply, as work at AYC requires high level of commitment -[Statement of Interest] To Kimheang February and Sithsakal Oum, statement of interest is similar to personal statement but in this case it has to explain an issue that you think is important and possible solutions to that issue.
