(From Jach) Awakening new dreams and inspiring boldness and daring. The call of the final phase of this year of gratitude is well underway, and the holiday season is in full swing. Or is it? The turmoil and volatility along with the threats of increasing violence, tragedy, and injustice could easily overshadow awakening and inspiring. And yet, it seems that during such times as these, dreaming and being both bold and daring can be pivotal. I’m in Colombia taking classes, spending five hours a day in class talking only Spanish. The rest of the day I speak only Spanish as I go to the gym, grocery shop, run errands, going to the movies, and engage in the ordinary living of life. Expanding my vocabulary and learning the intricacies of Spanish grammar, I’m learning to listen to the “sounds” of Spanish in the streets. It’s coming more easier, more automatically now. It times I have to stop and translate words and phrases back into English. All these things are part of my dreams and of new dreams that, at least for me, are bold and a bit daring. I look beyond my time here, and I am playing with the dreams I have held, reviewing them, tinkering and tweaking them to make them bolder: more real, power powerful. I think of the December quotations from Lazaris: [[[YOU ARE IN THE UNCHARTED OF A WORLD BECOMING NEW. YOU ARE SURROUNDED BY MIRACLES WAITING TO UNFOLD. YOU ARE IN THE UNCHARTED OF YOURSELF DISCOVERING MORE OF YOU. . . . DON’T TAME THE STRANGENESS. SET YOUR IMAGINATION FREE TO ROAM, FREE TO SOAR FREE TO BE MORE. DON’T TAME THE STRANGENESS. SET YOURSELF FREE TO BE MORE.]]] (Lazaris) I get goose bumps as I think about this: the uncharted . . . miracles waiting to unfold (it rained in California — not enough to resolve the drought, but it rained . . . the uncharted of *me* . . . don’t tame the strangeness. I am working with this quotation during December. I am savoring it, experiencing the beauty of it and igniting it with the Fires of Gratitude. I am feeling a renewed and a new hope. I am giving myself this gift, and I am willing to let it me small gift, but a gift, to the world. As a quick reminder, Lazaris suggested six potentials for our magical working during November and now December. 1. Savor the prevailing energies. I am savoring the quotation. [s] 2. Beauty. Beauty is a demanding lover, and it offers us so much more than it asks of us. 3. Fires of Gratitude. It’s a beautiful ritual with mystery, power, and magic tucked into its simplicity. 4.Hope with an emphasis upon its bounty. 5. and 6. Work with the two quotations. A new year approaches. I wish you all a very happy holidays, a very Merry Christmas or whatever name you give to that day, and of course, a deliciously Happy New Year, a very happy New Year of Remembering.
