From the desk of Dr. Daniel Tulip: During my childhood, I - TopicsExpress

From the desk of Dr. Daniel Tulip: During my childhood, I grew up on a dairy farm in Vermont. Like most farms we had about a dozen farm cats who earned their keep by hunting mice in the barn. There was one mother cat who we held in high esteem. She would adopt any orphaned kittens and raise them as her own. Check out the video which vividly demonstrates this attribute of some mother cats. I definitely see the human counterpart of this mother cat in my work as a Pediatrician. I can think of many foster parents who display this loving nature. At The Childrens Clinic, we have two amazing nurses who live this love. Nurse Gail and her husband adopted their three grandchildren after the death of Gails son Michael due to cancer (see picture #1). Nurse Ellen and her husband adopted her two nieces after they were placed into foster care (see picture #2). I have great admiration and respect for the personal sacrifice of these saints who give so much to vulnerable kids. I hope they get to see firsthand the positive effect they have in the lives of these kids. KUDOS to them! Remember. Life is short. Pass it ON!
