"From the start of the assessment Milly displayed very fearful behavior. She stayed at the back of the cage when greeted and showed very tense body language when the cage door was opened with her eyes darting back and forth." The ACC staff write stuff like this multiple times a day, and witness it more often than they comment about it....and every time, they seem totally surprised that an animal might be afraid of them. Are these staff members chosen for their inability to relate to animals? Milly is only 5 months old and of COURSE she is terrified, of COURSE her eyes are darting back and forth. This precious angel came into the shelter system with another, younger kitten, but she will die all by herself tomorrow at noon unless a rescue group saves her life right now.
