“G-d will console Zion ..and He will make her wilderness like Eden and her desert like the garden of G-d. ” Isaiah prophesied and the prophecy is happening now. It thrills me time and time again to see the Jewish People change from a people to a nation. For centuries Jews wandered to the far corners of the earth. They weren’t connected to land. In many countries they weren’t even allowed to own or cultivate the land. With the return of the Jewish people to their homeland, this vital connection was restored. We may be living in a hi-tech era but the connection to land remains a crucial part of being a nation. And thus a nation was reborn. The verse actually tells us that this is a consolation for Zion. The return of the Jewish people gave Zion purpose. The land of Israel and the Nation of Israel’s destiny are intertwined together. If you watch the faces of the people in the video, you’ll be able to that spark of purpose and excitement. And maybe Zion’s spark of excitement is showing up in the incredible fruits and vegetables it’s producing.
