GEORGIA: Shepherd male came in with Embedded collar!! needs help ASAP!! He was tied with a chain around his neck and starved. Also the chain was imbedded into his neck all the way around. His owner was charged with cruelty and the dog was taken to a local vet. The chain had to be surgically removed from his neck and it has left a huge section of his neck stitched back together. He is very thin and heart worm positive. But despite all his pains and mis-treatment he is still a very happy, friendly, loving fellow. Now, after being saved from an abusing home and put back together by the vet, he finds himself at deaths door once again. The police are finished with him for the case and now that they do not need him, he can be put to sleep. The vet will hold him for a few day to give me time to get him a rescue but he must be out before the weekend. I need quick confirmation that a rescue will take him. His only chance now is for someone to step up and take him away from here. The vet has agreed to neuter him and give him his shots. The receiving rescue will still have to deal with the heart worms but that is all. His medical bill up to now is being covered by the vet herself. If you can take this poor fellow, please contact me asap. His time is limited and i need to have something to tell them in the next few days.
