☼ GOSPEL OF THE DAY ☼ YEAR - DAY 10/10 ◙ asked Jesus for a sign - Luke 11.15-26 At that time, Jesus was casting out a demon. 15 But some of them said: It is by Beelzebub, the prince of demons that he drives out demons. 16 Others, to try Jesus, they asked him a sign from heaven. 17 But, knowing their thoughts, Jesus said to them, Every kingdom divided against itself will be destroyed; and a home fall above the other. 18 And even if Satan is divided against himself, how can his kingdom survive? Ye say, that through Beelzebub I cast out devils. If 19 is through Beelzebub I cast out demons, your sons expel them by whom? By then, they will be your judges. 20 But if it is by the finger of God that I cast out demons, then you came to the Kingdom of God. 21 When a strong man fully armed guards his own house, his possessions are safe. 22 But when he gets a stronger man than he wins it, pluck his armor wherein he trusted, and divides what he has stolen. 23 Whoever is not with me is against me. And who does not gather with me scatters. 24 When the evil spirit out of a man, is wandering in desert places, seeking rest; finding none, he says: I will return to my house from which I came. 25 When he arrives to find swept and tidy house. 26 Then it goes and brings seven other spirits more wicked than himself. And entering in, they settle there. In the end, this man is in worse condition than before. - Word of Salvation. - Glory to you, Lord. READING prayerful INITIAL PRAYER I am preparing for the prayerful reading praying with Internet users around the world: In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. I believe, Lord Jesus, I am part of your body. Holy Spirit, you who dwell by faith in our hearts, opens us to the Word! Be our intelligence and our will, good ground, where thou mayest work with freedom, so that our life is a sign of your love. Amen. 1 READING (TRUTH) What does the text of the day? Read carefully, in my Bible, the text: Luke 11.15-26 and I watch people, what they think and what they expect of Jesus. And an exorcism to expel a demon that was mute admiration caused the crowd. This admiration was often compared to the miracles, but not meant attitude of faith. Some even attribute the exorcism to a pact with Beelzebub! Are those based on two aspects restrictions: the difficulty in understanding the origin and power of Jesus and the need for a sign. Knowing their thoughts, Jesus speaks of the destruction of the family and the country divided. He also says that anyone who is not in your favor and who is against him does not help you meet and gather, is spreading. The preaching of Jesus, we also understand that we will unite and divide when we love when we hold ourselves and not worry about the next. 2 MEDITATION (PATH) What it says to me today? I feel that I promote communion in my family, in my work, in the Church? Or, Im tempted to contradict, split, criticize, hinder? I am in favor of Jesus Christ present in the community or do not help to gather? In the form of prayer, the bishops, the V Conference, asked: Guided by Maria we fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith and say to Him with the Successor of Peter: Stay with us, for evening falls and the day was already declining (Lk 24:29). Stay with us, Lord accompanies us even though we have not always recognize you. Stay with us, because all around us the denser shadows will be doing, and Thou art the Light; in our hearts insinuates a lack of hope, and do thou burn with the certainty of Easter. We are tired of the way, but you confortas in the breaking of bread to announce our brothers that you have actually risen and that has given us the mission to be witnesses of your resurrection. Stay with us, Lord, when around our Catholic faith arise mists of doubt, weariness or difficulty: you who are Truth itself as revealer of the Father, enlighten our minds with your word; helps us feel the beauty of believing in you. (DAp 554). 3 PRAYER (LIFE) The text leads me to say to God? Pray spontaneously or with psalms and other prayers conclude with the Church: Remain, Lord, in our families, enlighten them in their doubts, sustains them in their difficulties, console them in their sorrows and the weariness of the day, when around them accumulate shadows that threaten its unity and nature . Thou Life, is in our homes, to continue being born nests where the abundant human life and generously, where is welcomed, if loved and respected life from its conception until its natural end. Remain, Lord, with those in our society who are most vulnerable; is with the poor and lowly, with indigenous and african-Americans, who do not always find space and support to express the richness of their culture and the wisdom of their identity. Remain, Lord, with our children and our youth who are the hope and the wealth of our continent, protects them from many pitfalls that threaten their innocence and their legitimate hopes. Oh good shepherd is with our elders and our sick! Strengthens all your faith in order to be your disciples and missionaries (DAp 554). 4 CONTEMPLATION (LIFE AND MISSION) What my new look from the Word? My new look is fellowship, to promote the union of everyone I meet and where to step. Pope Francis recalls: At every point in history, human weakness, the unhealthy search of himself, the selfish ease and, finally, the lust that threatens us all are present This is always present under one guise or another. ,. derives most of human limitation that the circumstances ... learn from the Saints who have gone before us and faced the difficulties of your time For this purpose, I propose to dwell on recoup some motivations that help us to imitate them in our days. (EG 262). BLESSING - God bless us and keep us. Amen. - It shows in your face and have mercy upon us. Amen. - Come back to us your look and give us his peace. Amen. - Bless us merciful God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen. Go. Patrícia Silva, fsp [email protected]
