::GROWN FOLKS TALKIN:: The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency (1 Corinthians 7:4-5). One of the sore spots of marriage, Paul addresses it. What he spoke was not of commandment, but it still needed to be said. Im reminded of a preacher who told MARRIED couples to go home and make love to each other every day. People got bent about it! How dare he! But do you know what that did, from my perspective? It took the manipulation and power away from the one who used it as such. Some use intimacy as a weapon. If you do good, its a reward. If you do bad, its a punishment. When that preacher said to do that, the person could act however and not worry about being defrauded because he didnt take the garbage out, or she didnt do the laundry. It would be UNCONDITIONAL..like how God loves and blesses us even when we KNOW we dont deserve it. Imagine if God defrauded us every time we didnt act right..Hmmm..he that has an ear..my name? GjAnderson. My mind? Narrow. Like the road I travel on.
